Feeww! The past few weeks have been off the chain busy! So glad to be back into the swing of things again. So let the rantings of randomness and penguins commence.
My favorite tree has always been the weeping willow. Since I was a boy I loved them. Something about them looking both dejected yet triumphant. Yes I thought that when I was a boy… I was kind of a deep kid.
Many polls rank William Henry Harrison as the worst president of all time. But can you really blame a guy for dying a month into office? Now as govenor of Indiana, and senator in Ohio, he was a tyrant and supported the genocide of native americans, so maybe he would have been the worst President, but we’ll never know.
Homer Simpson once asked Flanders this question: “Could God heat up a burrito so hot that even he couldn’t eat it?” Someone recently asked me a similar question… I snickered and pointed to the Prayer Room.
I once had a teacher in High School named Mrs. Head. Her first name was Anita. Yes that’s right her name was Anita Head… let me say that phonetically “I-needa head”! 
It is hard to find something that is both funny and clean these days. Most often every movie or entertainment I look for leaves my spirit feeling like it just got dragged through the mud after wards. which is why I love Stephen Colbert! let me just say my side hurts when I watch his comedy sketches, and my spirit doesn’t get defiled!
I have a term I came up with to describe God’s role in his sovereignty. I call him a “Constitutional monarch”. meaning that he is all sovereign and can do whatever He pleases, yet he is held to the constitution of His word. Which He promises never to break.
Huckabee wins! And still to many Christians are too involved in the politics of this election. I care about the outcome, in fact I feel this election will be one of the most important elections since FDR took over for Hoover in 1932. However even if righteousness happens in office, and laws like abortion get changed we still have a problem; people are still going to hell. Even if sex slavery gets broken up, those people are still going to hell if they don’t know Jesus. Whether or not gays get married is of no consequence them or me, if the gospel is not preached, because they are still going to go to hell unless they repent. My thesis of this rant is simple, WE NEED REVIVAL! If teens, and young girls get a vision of Jesus, they wont get abortions. In fact they wont have sex out side of marriage, and abortion wont be an option. Revival can come, and those issues are important to vote for but not near as important as praying for revival, and preaching the gospel to the lost. I want to see a change happen in America, but the change I want is people choosing Christ. Justice won’t be complete until Christ returns, but justice can come now. But it looks not only like laws getting changed, but people accepting Christ. I will write about this more since I have some passion about this. Plus not sure how to articulate it all yet, and I know I’m prone to making bombastic statements…

I still want to be famous. This Onething conference was no different then the last. I stand backstage and watch Corey, or Allen, or Jen up there preaching, and I think, “dang I want to be up there!” And every time I have that thought I decide not to shove it down, I just go to God and say, “Hey I want to be famous. I want to be well known and well liked by masses of people.” I go to him because I know what I’m longing for can only be satisfied in Him, and even if I was famous I’d still desire something. In him I live and move….

I’m not announcing anything yet, but I’m in love with Carrie Blom as you well know have you been a regular reader of this blog. This month I’m raising money like I never have before, trying to raise the monthly income level, for future events could be on the horizon.
Often people over spiritualize things. Waiting for a dream, or vision in order to encounter God. They think that without this kind of encounter they are in a “dry/ dull place”. I would like to solicit an ideal I’ve long held concerning encounter: The primary way in which we encounter the Lord is in the vehicle of life… I’ll explain at a later date. selah.
I need a new computer like Argentina needs a President. Meaning mine hit it’s prime 2 years ago, and in my almost 5 years with it is about done. It’s currently held together by a neon green case, and makes loud buzzing sounds often. If you have a nice laptop you can part with, or want to buy me a new one think about it! Have not, because you ask not right?
Well folks thats all I got for today! I’ve got a lot of subjects I’m looking forward to writing about. God is stirring alot in my heart concerning intercession. I hope to expound later.
Random rantings friday on Sunday……. I like it. We had a huge willow tree in our side yard when I was growing up, as well as several in our neighborhood. I wasn’t do deep with my affinity though, just part of my childhood nostelgia.

Huckabe Wins! I’ll take this is my ansewer to the previous random rantings post. Here Here. 100% I agree with the whole picture you presented. We desprately need revival in the midst of everyting. But to go back to my other post, the point I made, and the question I asked I think is an important one. What is ahead of us is going to try the mettle of us all. It will be important who is making the decisions and steering the country in that time. I am about the lest political guy you could meet. It just has been something the Lord has drawn my attention to of late, and a prayer focus I think that is vital in this season. My feeling wouln’t be hurt if Mc Cain took it though. I admire his stand and his experience, amoung other things.
(I write too much, I know) Enjoy the tension between big vision and obscurity. I have been living in it for years, and at times it never seems it will end. Works a certian humility.

I have had some of the most incredible incounters with God doing the dishes. really. I have been struck with the spirit of intercession, or praise standing at the sink and liked to shout my head off, just doing the mundane.

I share your political concerns. I believe this will be a landmark election in our history, indeed for the world. While I have been leaning toward Huckabee, I understand he has asked Richard Haass, a known believer in one world government, and president of the Council on Foreign Relations, to be his foreign affairs advisor. That sort of liaison so early in the campaign is both disturbing, and at the same time enlightening. There is still plenty of time, so I believe we have to be very careful about rushing to vote for someone strictly because they do profess to being of the Christian faith.

@ mbaker, Didn’t know about Haass’ link to Huckabee, that is indeed and interesting find. I’m familiar with Haass, that makes things interesting. Well good thing I’m a McCain guy! Ha! i’ve been a McCain guy for the last 10 years, so why stop now, right?

I don’t know this guy below and have been unable to verify the one paragraph he wrote on the Huckabee/Haass liasion, but my husband tells he has been a Baptist minister, at Crossroads Baptist Church in Pensacola, Florida for 30 years. He was a vice-presidential candidate for the Constitutional party in 2004. He was also executive director of the Florida Moral Majority in the 1980’s. Just a little note about your love of weeping willow trees….
I took my high school senior pictures on a rope swing on a weeping willow. Oh so lovely with my hands positioned on the rope, sweetly next to my cheek with the willow branches in the background. Haha. So cheesy! But hey, it was great back in the day.

Margie (is that right?) Let me clarify first that we are trying to understand somethings that the Lord has revealed to us. One of our intercessors had a vision and we have been waiting on the Lord for more understanding of what it means. We know that it ties in with the elections and it’s focus is to a call to prayer.
The other one of intrest, and it is why I have posted the things I have about the elections, Zach. I just looked up again, and I’m shocked. I recieved it back in ‘02, it has just kept coming in my heart and I remember the thrust of it, adn I have been mindful of it. Seeing the details, I’m convinced that what the intercessor had, back in October, and this goes together. I submitt these for everyones discernment before the Lord. First, the ‘02 prophecy. (mind you, I had no clue of the prayer movement at this time, I’m blown away)
II Chronicles 29; 11 – My sons, be not now negligent for the Lord hath chosen you to stand before him, and that ye should minister unto him, and burn incense.
First, please read II Chronicles, chapter 29…..
A Godly leader in America will be raised up in the midst of her destruction and destroying who will give out a call to the true leaders of the church. He will have an ear to hear what the true prophets speak in the name of the Lord, and will greatly fear before the Lord God of his fathers. He will open the doors again to the place of worship and ordain a cleansing and repentance to be made for America. This will only be for her remnant to serve.
The Lord will open up only a window of opportunity so that the word can be preached. This will only be a small window, for this freedom and backing, but through it He will raise up a great army and strengthen them for the tine of the end.
God speaks to us now – (verse 11) – “My sons, be not negligent for the Lord hath chosen you to stand before Him, to serve him, and that ye should minister unto him, and burn incense.”
We have a specific duty to stand before God, to serve him here, to minister to Him by doing His bidding, and by prayer, strengthening the hands of our brothers and preparing them for what is to come. Look what the Lord says of us and those who we will work to prepare. Verse 19 – “Moreover all the vessels, (people) which King Ahaz in his reign did cast away in his transgressions, have we prepared and sanctified, and, behold, they are before the altar of the Lord.
The Lord says, “All the refuge this society in its wickedness has cast away, the people they have thought undesirable: Behold, I have Cleaned and I have sanctified, and I have prepared for My glory. And look: They stand ready before me at the altar of sacrifice, ready to give their very lives for My purpose and My glory, says the great Lord of hosts. I am over all the earth, Who shall be able to withstand my wisdom, who will say it’s a thing not done, when I, the Lord, have performed it?”
What the Lord is speaking for the future: Look in verses 20-29. The Word of God describes a time where Hezekiah called all the rulers together and calls for the priests to offer sacrifice for atonement and repentance for Israel. This godly leader that will come up will make a call to gather pastors and leaders; both secular and spiritual, who will gather for a time of repentance and waiting on God for specific direction and to discern His will and desire. (There was a side note here in the original writing about stadiums being used for a night of Music and ministry) It will be during a time of utter chaos. We have never heard nor read, nor understood the depths that this nation will be plunged to – to whom much is given, much is required.
According to verses 25-27 and 3O, specific instruments of worship will be dedicated and spiritual songs written to be used in worship by the direction of the leaders and prophets, by the Word of the Lord. This is to coincide with the ministry of the priest and of the Word, to reconcile, encourage and instruct (verses 27,28).
Verse 34 – “But the priests were too few, so they could not flay all the burnt offerings: Wherefore their brethren the Levites did help them, till the work was ended, and until the other priests had sanctified themselves: for the Levites were more upright in heart to sanctify themselves than the priests.”
The whole burnt offering spoke of something wholly given over to the Lord that the priests had no part of, it was a “holy sacrifice unto the Lord.” This represents the freewill offering Mentioned in verse 31, …”as many as were of a free heart burnt offerings,” and represents those who will be giving their lives wholly unto the Lord as “living sacrifices, holy, acceptable unto God (Romans 12:1).
The sheer numbers will be beyond belief, so much so that all the worship leaders will be called along side the ministers to lead, counsel and instruct those that are coming to the Lord. They also will train up, teach and prepare others that come. Many fallen pastors and leaders also will be restored (…other priests had sanctified themselves) and be set back into the ministry, to the work.
Verse 36 Will be the witness to the truth of this prophecy, “And Hezekiah rejoiced, and all the people, that God had prepared the people; for the thing was done suddenly.
The Godly leader who calls this gathering will rejoice with all the people for those of us God has prepared beforehand for the task. It will be a sudden move and a quick work that will move across this land.
Verse 35b – “So the service of the House of the Lord was set in order.” This is how God is going to purge His house of all idolatry and false worship. “His winnowing fan is in His hand and He will thoroughly purge His threshing floor.”
He will raise up a godly remnant that will be scattered to the four winds, taken captive and deposited where the Lord wills for them. Some few will remain here only to lament and mourn, some to preach the end. Then we will see the start of the end of all things, that great and terrible day of the Lord spoken of throughout the ages; revealed in our day. “We shall see it,” says the Lord.

10/2/07 Good Morning,
I was awakened this morning around 3:40 – and I felt the Lord’s presence. I began to praise His name and pray in the spirit.
I was then taken into a place where I could see the entire outline of the US. Although I could see all the US I could still see that people were moving about and doing normal things. I saw that there was a mist on the East coast and the Atlantic Ocean. I then saw–though the mist–a misty ship pull into a space approximately where Maryland is located–or thereabout. It “locked” onto something because I could hear the sound and see the action.
Something visible to me went out from either side of the ship until it covered the entire edge of the East Coast. The mist seemed to clear somewhat on the ocean and I could see that there were many ships waiting to dock. I could see that these ships were misty and lacked a real form. Each in turn–according to size–they approached the ship that had already docked and “swallowed” it up–i.e., the ship would keep going until it had covered the previous ship and it became absorbed by the bigger ship. As each ship docked–the substance that had gone out from the first ship and covered the edge of the East Coast began to slowly “creep and crawl” across the US Westward. As the substance spread–it seemed to take the color and action out of the land and the people. The colors became dull and everything seemed to slow down to a “drag”. By the time the last ship had docked the entire US had been covered. I then could see a very definite outline around the US and it was like a steel frame. I again heard the “locking” noise and the final ship that was in the harbor took shape and looked like a huge dark gray submarine and sat up out of the water and the steel frame around the US was attached to the ship. I could see that the ship was sending some kind of “force” or “power” through the frame and it was causing the US to “shake” and it began to crack and break up into smaller pieces but still locked inside the frame.
I then could see our prayer table at church with all the prayer requests and pictures on it. Included in the group was a map of the US that looked like a page that had been torn from a book, a small flag and another page with an outline of the US and the words, “2008 Elections” written across it.
