Airborne is a scam!?

27 03 2008

I’ve been duped! Scamed! Bamboozled into some sort of placebo like universe where I thought I was taking the sacred cow of all cold and allergy remedies. When in instead like the Greek crafted wooden horse lead into Troy, was Airborne let into my heart! Never again!

Ok so I’m sick and have been watching Lord of the Rings and Greek war documentaries all day… hence the babble above.

Airborne a fraud?! No! I won’t believe it! Can’t believe it!  That is until I looked it up.

Turns out Airborne is a fraud. Scientist and teams of people examined they Alka-Seltzer like tablet and found that it cures nothing. That say it doesn’t even prevent, just boosts the immune system a bit.

Read the news story here: Airborne to refund customers (ABC News)

Read all about the health settlement with Airborne here: Airborne Health Settlement

Anyway now that the proverbial cat is out of I’m gonna stick to Emergen-C. Unless someone finds out something hornswagle-ish about them too.

There’s the story. I hope to get better soon before I start posting about things around my room.

Peace friends

Hey Zack…I hate to break it to you but zinc has also been found to be ineffective.

There is only one real sure cure…. Take two scriptures before going to bed and call for the prayer of healing.

“Is any among you sick? Call the ________ …”

Then call me in the morning

airbourne is not a scam; it cannot make a claim to cure the common cold (because that is unproven.) it can make a claim to boost the immune system (because that is proven.) it still contains several ingrediants that are known to boost immunity…

I had the same epiphany recently with Zicam. I had been using it for a few years, convinced it shortened my cold. Last year, I stopped taking it and realized my colds were no more severe without it.

I stopped taking it after noticing the word “homeopathic” on the label. I then read similar studies that indicate the product has no demonstrable effectiveness above a placebo effect.

DUDE,
Totally agree. Airborne Night Time claims to help you sleep and I tried it once and didn’t work but then again nothing I tried work..ha ha praise the Lord for medicine that doesn’t work.

Dude, I want to wake up today and hopefully you are better and so then we can like get out of the house and do something fun despite the current circumstance. I will risk getting another ticket just to have some Z and J time.

Feel better, if not, watch all three LOTR again.
