Colson, Boyd, and Claiborne on politics

Church in politics. I’ve talked about this often. How I agree, but then don’t. But i will say this: Abortion has to go.

I read this guy Denny Burk’s blog often. I enjoy it quite a bit. He did a post today about a interview with Gregg Boyd, Shane Claiborne, and Charles Closon on evangelicals in politics. (Article here)

I pretty much don’t agree with anything Gregg Boyd. He’s an Open Theist and I wonder if he’s actually saved by the statements he makes. Something I would never claim to be able to call into question. He just doesn’t sound like he like God very much alot of the time.

Shane Claiborne is kinda like what Che’ Guevara but saved. Chuck Colson is the good evangelical norm.

Unfairly to Chuck, the discussion was pretty one sided with Shane and Gregg dominating the opinion over Chuck. But Chuck had some good things to say.

I don’t have time to talk about it but thought I’d share Denny’s article so go there and tell me what you think;

peace peeps!
