Second coming? Well it’ll be different from the first!

So After what… 2 weeks? I’m back? Yeah so I pulled a Micheal Jordan. Just don’t expect me to sport a new jersey number!

BUT! It’s going to be a little different around these parts! In lue of the constant debate over theology on this blog in the past, I’m going to loosen it up around here. Here is why:

It has nothing to do with the fact that I don’t like a good hardy debate of theology. (Contrary to popular opinion, I actually enjoy the debates, I learn a ton.) What started happening, was my posts started becoming defensive and or apologetics for the charismatic movement. I was always writing in response to controversy. The Bible was becoming merely a source to prove or disprove some sort of doctrinal stance.

I love the Word, and have too much desire to know it and protect it’s sacredness to turn it into that. So I will be keeping things more lite around here… Ok well I don’t know if I’m capable of keeping things lite, but at least not to argumentative about the things of theology. More experience in the things of God, less trying to define parameters .

Theology is wonderful. It’s the study of God. I love God. I turned it into the study of other people and their study of God, and neglected my own study of Him. For that I’m sorry.

So with that caveat- I’m back! I want to get back to telling stories, and filling you in on the day to day things. I have taken on so many different roles at IHOP, talking about them alone is entertainment enough. Plus I’m actually going to teach a high school class on Christian World View. Something I love to study and have been doing much study for lately as I’m going to have to write the curriculum. So expect posts on that subject as well! Plus don’t forget! I’m getting married October 5th to the most stunning, intelligent, wonderful, loving person I’ve ever met!!

Life is good because God is good! For that I’m thankful.
