So now that I’m back! (I mean can I really say back?? I was gone for maybe 2 weeks) Anyway with things changing, Random Rantings Friday is going NO WHERE! So with that, Ba bap ba bap ba Bam! Take some of that!

So another week gone by, and Hilary is still going. Where I don’t know, but going still. Nancy Pelosi and Howard Dean (still can’t say his name without remember that scream from Iowa 4 years ago) are asking democrats to weigh in and end it soon. This could be great for my boy McCain. Kinda like When Teddy Roosevelt ran with a third party 1912 to ruin Taft’s re election bid. The Republican party was torn between to candidates and The tall, lanky Wilson pulled away easily as the Republican party fell apart. I saw let Hilary stay. split the party, heck should should start her own party so McCain can walk right into the Presidency. Just say’n she should pull a Teddy.

I did it!! I ditched my PDA and went back to a normal phone. And I’m freaking out. not having the ability to check e-mail instantly, surf the internet in my hand, and instantly look up directions on the GPS is weird. But not being totally accessible to the rest of the earth is nice. I’m tasting freedom… and I like it!

In other Presidential news, as in Paraguayan presidential news Blanca Ovelar and the Colorado Party finally faced defeat! after a 61 year reign another party is in office in Paraguay. Look out Hugo Chavez… You aren’t the only Latin reformer on the block any more. Make way for Fernando Lugo… wa wa wa waaaaaaaahh

Have you checked your closet lately? Because there might be a woman secretly living in it. Or at least that’s what happened in Tokyo. A 58 year old home less woman needed a place to live and sneaked a mattress into the top part of some guy’s closet. She lived there for a YEAR before he detected her. She showered and used the house while the man was gone at work. The police said she was neat and clean.

News stories are funny. For instance this week when the White House aid released his tell all book revealing secrets about this administration. The Headline read: “White house aid reveals secrets; White House not happy”. Isn’t that a bit obvious? Has anyone ever been happy when someone reveals publicly secrets they are trying to keep quiet?

The Lakers are in the Finals again. Which means I no longer care about basketball this year. If my choice is to root for the Lakers, the Pistons, or the Celtics? I choose no one. Maybe I’ll get the tapes from the ‘93 Finals and route for the Suns again… this time maybe Paxson will miss that 3 pointer.

Souad Dhifli was a domestic slave in Tunisia as a child. Beaten and abused she fled captivity to England where she is making a name for her self. I’m glad she is free, slavery is a repugnant practice. But she states, “I will never forgive my captures”. Slavery, specifically sex-slavery is rampant in the Earth and is need of a real solution. Churches in our nation are getting involved in the freeing of these slaves, and in the helping the starving in Africa. All good things, but not the most important things. Unless the church has first an urgency to preach the gospel, freed slaves and fed children still go to hell, and live in bitterness and unforgiveness after ward. Our urgency should be to help their plight, and their plight isn’t first their Natural circumstances, but the state of their soul. First we present the hope to see that Christ can free them from the shame and inner turmoil they face, then free feed them. Rescuing people from bad circumstances is temporary. And bad circumstances will always abound. But Rescuing them from the bounds of sin and death by present first Christ should be the first thing. Yes they can be done at the same time. But I see people joining the Bono’s and Oprah’s of the world and I cringe. It has to be the revelation of Christ first and always. Jesus Christ is the only solution to these things. We need Him.

My little spot on the Onething podcast was funny. I watched it again, and couldn’t believed how inarticulate I was. Granted being asked at the last sec to jump in and talk on camera for 15 minutes was a little un nerving, but I’d hoped I would have done better. Oh well. guess I’ll get plenty of Opportunities to try over the years!

So I need a new car!! Because someone hit my truck. I didn’t see them, but I went out to my Pathfinder last week, i pulled out of my parking place in the IHOP parking lot and I heard a scrapping noise. I got out and my front bumper was scrapping my Front tire because it had been bent. I bent it back with a hammer, but when I drive down the road the steering wheel shakes violently at times. It already had some problems with it to get it to pass inspection, but now that is harder because this has to be fixed and repairs equal the value of the car. So praying for a new vehicle, one with AC too!

You know who I feel bad for? Herbert Hoover. I don’t care if Lincoln was President in 1929, no one could’ve fixed what happened during the lead up to the Great Depression. The steps that set the whole thing in motion started back in Grover Cleavland’s first term when it became reasonable for the government to manage things, and change things as corporations and men like J.P. Morgan held more power the the President. Hoover misjudged the brevity of the situation, but if even FDR had been president in 1929 you know who the nation would’ve demanded to be president? Herbert Hoover. Hide sight is indeed 20- 20.

The Royals have been keeping with a time honored tradition: loosing. After dropping their 11th straight last night is official that we are again in a “rebuilding” season. The royals have been rebuilding since 1985 when they won the World Series against the Cardinals. So when they are done- man the team should be stellar!

Well that’s all I have for today. I’ll be doing a video podcast soon to show off my kitchen and dining room finally remodeled, as well as my office! Just for you Margret! i’m praying for you too!

much love all .::zack hensley
