so it’s about that time…
…to break the silence.
I have a lot to say. But but in the name of temperance, and waiting for wisdom I’ve been quiet on this blog. I have decided to take the last couple weeks to pray about and stew on how I want to say what is on my heart as I look at our current cultural, political, and ecclesial climate.
We are in a time in history, that I think we’ll will look back at in the pages of eternity as a clear shift in human diligence to Christ. A time when the boundary lines became clear, and the true hearts and beliefs of many were shaken to the surface. I think the next 10 years will be the most significant in humanities’ history. Thought, culture, practice, race, sexuality, and religion are getting re-drawn in ways the Earth has never seen.
Christianity is getting divided into 2 camps transcending denominations: liberal and conservative. What is at stake is the testimony of Jesus Christ. His divinity, His absoluteness, His sovereignty, His name, and His reality.
If ever their was a time for lovers of Christ to contend for the faith amidst the scoffers and mockers rising up it’s now. If ever there was a time for fellow believers to leave behind bickering over minor hermeneutical discrepancies it’s now. If ever there was a time to band together as believers, Armenians, Calvinists, IHOPers, Reformists, Methodists, Evangelicals, Presbitirian, Baptists of all sorts, Charasmatics, Catholics who cling to Grace, and any other persons who beleive and confess Christ as the crucified, reserected, all soverign, king, judge, God incarnate, and only absolute way to eternal life- the time is now.
May the God of endurance and encouragement grant you to live in such harmony with one another, in accord with Christ Jesus, that together you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. -Rom. 15:5
So I’m dragging the soap box back out of the closet of internal processing, and plan to go public. Blogging strong, and representiving boldly.
Contend for the faith!

It’s interesting that you talk about denominations coming together. I recently had a conversation with a Pastor from Ethiopia. He said that when communism came into the country among other things, the persecution forced the church underground and this basically broke down the walls of denominationalism. The churches there still call themselves by denominational names, but for all intents and purposes they really don’t care. I just thought you might find this interesting.
Where I’m concerned with this new political climate is when I saw from the get-go through the campaign, the election, and the inauguration that many people actually consider Obama like a god. That lets me know we Christians need to show them better leadership, evangelism, and how the the real King of Kings can really change their lives forever, not just for four years.
That is at least, while we still have freedom of religion. I think the time for Christians to speak boldly and truthfully is quickly drawing to a close.
The way things are going even our ability to blog freely might not last much longer.
Amen Margret!
It’s time for us to be a trumpet blast to the nations proclaiming Christ.
